Ted Eubanks [00:00:02] You know, it's comical almost to see this, you know, chicken-like bird that with these incredible tympanum sacs on the side of its head all swollen up, and, you know, with its tail stuck straight in the air and they have these pinnae feathers on the side of the head, they point out.

Ted Eubanks [00:00:18] And, you know, they're doing this incredible dance in a circle and the females are sitting on the edge, completely blase and just, you know, not involved at all in this display.

Ted Eubanks [00:00:27] And it's it's really one of the great, great wildlife spectacles.

Ted Eubanks [00:00:34] And it's just sad to think that here we had at the turn of the century, probably a million on the Texas coast and now we have 50, 100, a handful.
